An Earthquake
A personal story: I experienced an earthquake in a math class in primary school.
Wrote and finished in 2 weeks.
This is a real disaster that happened in my hometown, Sichuan Province. In 2008, I experienced an 8.0 magnitude earthquake. Fortunately, my school was 100 kilometers away from the epicenter, so the school did not collapse. However, countless lives were lost in this earthquake. My math teacher evacuated all the students when the earthquake occurred but stayed in the school building. She is the hero.
Jack & Jill
Adapted from the nursery rhyme 'Jack and Jill '.
Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.
Up Jack got and home did trot
As fast as he could caper;
And went to bed to mend his head
With vinegar and brown paper.
